Abstract

Multan is referred to as the "City of Saints." It has been home to many illustrious personalities who were close to Allah and devoted followers of the Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him). Hafiz Jamalullah Multani (may Allah have mercy on him) is counted among these great figures. Through his character and actions, he played a significant role in societal reform. He was a prominent Sufi saint of the Chishti order in the 18th century. Our research paper, titled "An Analytical Study of the Discourses of Hafiz Jamalullah Multani," delves into his discourses and their intellectual and philosophical insights. This study highlights the blend of spirituality, ethics, and Islamic values evident in his discourses, which appear to have had a profound impact on the social and cultural environment of his time.

The study examines how Hafiz Jamalullah Multani's teachings addressed the socio-political challenges of his time, emphasizing moral rectitude, unity, and human dignity. His leadership and efforts to preserve Islamic culture and promote education and social harmony in a period marked by colonial incursions and cultural decline are critically assessed.

Moreover, the research explores his unique approach to integrating Sufism with practical life, portraying him as a beacon of Islamic spiritual revivalism. The analysis of his Malfoozat reveals profound reflections on monotheism, divine love, and human responsibility, providing timeless lessons for contemporary society.
