Keywords:
Islamic Family Life, Women’s Roles, Responsibilities in Islam, Gender Equity, Sociological Evolution.Abstract
Family life in Islamic society is an intricate system underpinned by divinely ordained responsibilities, which aim to promote harmony, justice, and collective well-being. Among these responsibilities, women play a pivotal role as caretakers, educators, and contributors to the moral and spiritual development of the family. This study explores the evolution of these responsibilities by analyzing the foundational principles derived from the Quran, Hadith, and classical Islamic jurisprudence. It examines how these roles were shaped by socio-cultural factors in different eras of Islamic civilization. The research delves into the wisdom behind these responsibilities, emphasizing their alignment with the inherent capabilities of women and the greater good of society. Furthermore, it addresses modern challenges, such as gender equity debates and the impact of globalization on traditional family structures. The study evaluates the adaptability of Islamic teachings to contemporary contexts, offering a balanced perspective that integrates timeless values with evolving social needs. This scholarly investigation aims to bridge the gap between traditional Islamic thought and modern sociological paradigms, highlighting the importance of women’s roles in maintaining societal balance. By focusing on the intersection of spirituality, morality, and social ethics, this research provides an insightful discourse on the significance of family life in Islam.
